In 2014, the University of Arkansas chose Davey Resource Group to collect information on 5000 trees in the central campus and the Post Oak Grove at the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station (i.e. “the farm”). The survey included the location, species, size, number of trunks, and condition. Based on this information, Davey assigned a rating to help campus staff plan for maintenance or replacement of trees. Each tree was also given a maintenance recommendation.

Note that this data was collected in 2014, so it represents a particular moment in time on the university campus.
Tree identifications were made by an experienced Botany student from the Biological Sciences Department at the University of Arkansas. Click here for a summary table.
All data was incorporated within a GIS system and used in a web mapping application that can be queried along with other datasets (such as aerial photography and roads).
